Great little place right in town but very quiet.
The owner Charlie is a top bloke and very helpful. I was feeling under the weather so just wanted somewhere to put my head down for a few days and recover and this place was great. $25pn for powered site, an extra $2 for a hot shower.
Bathrooms are decent, there’s a kitchen, a laundry and a games room if you want it.
Literally 1min walk into the small Tairua township where’s there’s a supermarket and a few good places to eat.
Recommend.

Absolute Diamond find, owner is a gent and comedian who couldn’t do more to help you.
Great kitchen facilities and games room with a big tv, comfy couches and blankets, ended up staying two nights and renting a spade to head up to hot water beach

Fantastic service, Charlie was incredibly helpful and polite.
Would recommend staying here to anyone coming round the area. One the best places we’ve stayed in New Zealand.

Absolutely amazing place!
There's everything you need, a game room (with games, couchs, Netflix,...) kitchen (pots, pans, oven,...), toilets and showers super clean. It's a cute little place to share and very cheap for what they offer. $15 for a non powered site. Thank you so much!

The sign in the app is 2 $$ but is the same price as 1 $ DoC campsites and way much better than any of them.
We spent one night in May and we payed 15$ pp/night. Toilets perfectly clean, fully equiped kitchen, living room with TV (and netflix), games, billiards and foosball, laundry service, wifi going as a lightning speed and friendly stuff. Don't need anything else! Higly recommended!

A gem of a Caravan park/campsite - totally recommend!
Close to foreshore, main strip and info centre while still feeling quiet. Tairua is a super chill beach town with gorgeous walks, lagoon, beach, people and delicious food, we will be back for sure. Charlie and his partner were lovely hosts and have created a friendly camp space with facilities including kitchen, laundry and tv/games room.

Super friendly and helpful hosts!
The township had such a chilled vibe and the swimming was amazing. The campground had everything we needed for the two nights we stayed (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog) super clean amenities and our fellow campers were generous with kai. We were given a Snapper (whole fish) and pieces of banana cake. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly what we needed : a safe place, quiet, very clean. You have a lot of small attentions like cutlery, salt, tea (...) available. Owners are really nice and caring for their guest, it's very appreciated.

Turned up after a long drive and had to wait 30 minutes for the owner to arrive which was pretty frustrating as we were exhausted.
After he arrived there was a bit of attitude and not very welcoming. Didn't get told about paid showers so had a freezing cold one as I had no change. No fridge in the cabins, wouldn't say they were worth $65 at all.
