Lots and lots of space, next to a nice river with a little rocky beach.
Kitchen and living area well equipped. Laundry for 2$. Showers are 2$ for 7min. Dump station, fresh water. Owner was nice
Downsides : it's really big so there were a lot of big family groups, not really a calm camping (it did get quiet around 10pm). It was 44$ a night for 2 (unpowered), would be nice if showers were included.

Booked this place last minute as the nearby free camping options are limited.
Cheap - $37 for an unpowered site, which is a self picking spot in the field. As we got there we found out we had to pay extra for the showers ($2 for 7 minutes) and the wifi consisted in a voucher of 1GB.
The toilets and showers on one side of the block are very run down. There was black mould growing on the bathroom floor.
The kitchen has 2 electric stoves and 2 sinks, all functioning, but again they have seen better days.
The place is quiet at night, but we left feeling a bit ripped off. We had some great experiences camping in NZ, however this was not it.
Don't buy the "rustic style", as this is only old and not looked after. It could do with a bit of love :)

Nice place, paid $55 in January 2023 for two adults at powered site, facilities quite outdated and rather few given the number of sites.
Location is stunning though, very quiet, beautiful river and landscape surrounding the campground. Would recommend.

Stayed here in June 2021.
Nice and helpful staff on check in. Nice and cheap to park the van for a night, $12.50 per person and $2 hot shower for 7mins. Clean enough facilities, kitchen with utensils, oven and toasters. Enjoyed it :)

This find was a pleasant surprise.
There were no designated non-powered sites which was nice. We found a sweet elevated spot in the trees. Staff were friendly and informative on things to do around the area. The river was great to swim in and there was only a short walk to a little waterfall. Toilets and $2 showers were satisfactory. Running water, trampolines, kayaks and bikes were an added bonus. $12pp. Kitchen facilities available also. Cool vibes

Great site, and very spacious so it didn't feel as full as it was.
The river was beautiful and great swimming! Facilities were clean but a bit grotty and in need of a remodel (eg shower coin machine was outside of the shower stall so you either had to go out naked to put your coin in or put it in first and waste your hot water time undressing). Communication was also confusing with many shouty passive aggressive signs posted all over the buildings. The pricing and booking was difficult to understand too as their website and emails were badly worded and poorly organised.

Very nice place in the woods, toilets were clean and there's plenty of space for tents or caravans.
People are friendly and everything is made with love. We only paid 24$ for two people for an unporewered site since it was in May. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice place.
Not expensive, in the middle of nature, cooking facilities with pots and pans, TV and near a river.

This is a great spot, excellent facilities, family friendly, open spaces not fixed sites, room to play a game and kick a ball around, top it all off with great hosts and a fantastic river swimming hole
close to all the big attractions ... recommend to all

Only $12, it has got good facilities and is near to the hot water beach and you get free shovels for the beach.

Just a field really.
Very dated but clean toilets. $2 for a short shower. Only found that out after paying to stay here. Absolute joke, we already paid why are we having to pay again?!
