About a 20 walk to The Strand where all the restaurants are in Tauranga. Really nice owners and facilities are always immaculate. Dogs welcome. Quite an urban site but backs onto the water. Few permanent residents but all elderly and friendly. Would stay again.

Very expensive, $30 for just 1 adult with a non power site. Wifi is the most expensive I had seen in NZ $10 for 200mb. Clean premises and friendly owners.
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

The location is a bit away from everything, unless I was missing something. Kitchen was clean but cold similar story with the showers. The lady on the desk was most helpful though and really friendly, not bad for a 1 night stop. I would probably continue on to the mountain side if I was stopping in Tauranga again.

Check-in procedure was easy, very friendly and informative. Showers take 50c for 5 mins, facilities spotless. Very quiet site on a beautiful inland water area. Key provided to activate entry barrier, no lockdown so can come and go as you please. Great site, will recommend.

Nice tidy organised campground directly at water inlet (tidal). Friendly hostess.
Although clean and modern facilities, kitchen is small for main season/size of campground.
