Cleanliness, Tranquility and Security
The Closest Camp to Tauranga City Centre.
Tauranga Tourist Park is an affordable small sheltered camping ground located only 4 kilometres from the city centre.
We are a family owned and operated park and are 5th generation Kiwis. Our park caters mainly for campervans, caravans and mobile homes with power/non power sites, cyclist sites, basic one room cabins and an en-suite cabin is also available.
We are a dog friendly campground although conditions do apply.

Set in clean tidy garden like surrounds, our sites are a good size and have hedges and specimen trees for that summer shade. There are picnic tables on most sites.

Office hours are 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM daily in both summer and winter, with a daily closure from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Check-in is from 1:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. |

Lovely quiet camp with tidy, clean facilities.
Dave. the manager. couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I hope the owners realise what an asset he is to them.
The only reason I didn't give the camp a 10/10 rating is the difficulty of getting out of Mayfair St onto the main road, the traffic is never ending. even on Sunday mornings. Obviously not the camp's fault, just a minor hiccup with the location.

Excellent Facilities, Staff very friendly and helpful, Grounds very well kept, nothing was too much trouble if asked.
A very reasonable price Caravan park. And close to Cable Beach. Only upset was we saw our Frilled Neck Lizard the 1st couple days then he must have went hiding - too much activity for a lizard.

Found site grounds nice and clean.
Nice and quiet vehicles came and went without disturbing us. Location was good once we got orientated. Convenient for getting to places of interest. The staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. All amenities were clean and tidy. Enjoyed staying there and would definitely go back.

Maybe the receptionist was having a bad day. Alot of permanents
Clean facilities but a number of maintenance issues are evident.

Really nice camping, with super clean facilities, a good kitchen, a gas station barbecue!!

I would recommend to everybody to go to this campsite if you plan to stay in Tauranga

Nice spot, stayed two nights.
Quite far from town, a very hilly 45 minute walk or $16 ish Uber. Good facilities, very clean and nice to have a proper hairdryer!

Sandy, the hostess, is very atencious and all the installations of the camp is very cleanless and organized.

We have stayed here previously in 2020, a very clean, quiet campground.
We have had to cancel a 5 day stay due to covid and they were very quick to refund our deposit.

Friendly,quiet,immaculately clean tourist park beautifully situated next to the estuary.Lovely to walk on the boardwalk around the estuary and very convenient to shops.
Well run and maintained which makes an easy, relaxing holiday.Will definitely visit again.

We stayed here Auckland Anniversary Weekend 2021 little Gem of a campsite , well run , clean and tidy , everyone we met was openly friendly be they permanents or like ourselves taking a break to enjoy
the area . Fantastic wifi coverage , very reasonable cost ,wish all the other campsites were we have been to would use same system ! Campsite next to water ( Tidal ) nice broad walks ,suitable for walks / bikes and Paddle Boards ,Kayaks ,fishing etc . Shops within walking distance ,or short drive ,easy drive to Mount , places of interest .Jane & Dean

A lot of long term people who will follow your footsteps from day 1 to see if you do something wrong.
The second day we were already bothered by a neigbour who basicely said they don't like travelers arround and after telling her to mind her own business I was being threatened to leave the park by an older man who worked there who didn't even asked me what happened.
There are only 4 tentsites and the rest is all moterhomes.
We felt extremely unwelcome!!
Do not go here!!

Lovely family owned camper van site, powered ones don’t get a spot with a view.
Very clean and safe facilities, radio in the toilets to jam to in the shower. Cute local cats looking for cuddles too. $38 for 2 people in a powered site, great price!

Very clean kitchen and toilet. The tent site are big with a beautiful view to the lake.

Nice owner, clean facilities, hair dryer available, kitchen a bit small though, the rest was perfect! Paid 40$ for two people for a non powered site.
