Steep part not that steep. Disappointing. Other geothermal parks much better.

Loved this park.
One of my favourites in the North Island. Loads of trails (probably need more than a day to see them all), very well marked and signed.

Trails for all abilities. Well worth the $10 visitor pass.

During the 90 minute walk you get an impressive overview of different geothermal activities (mud pools, blowholes, craters).
Nice price/performance ratio.

Good activity to do on a sunny day.
Nice walk around with insights into active volcano zones.

Nice walk through a geothermal landscape close to Taupo.
The walkways are mostly brand new and guarantee an easy walk. $8 is fair for what you get. Nice staff, welcoming you, clean toilets and a sweet gift shop.
