The Marine Studies Centre in Dunedin is very important to me, not only because it (and its people) offered me the chance of a lifetime, but also because of its wonderful educational programs which give

young and old the chance to really learn about the marine life of New Zealand! The beautiful aquarium amazes all who come to visit and makes people wanting to come again. The aquarium staff can answer any question you might have about marine life and will show you the many different kinds of fish which inhabit the aquarium. Besides all these wonderful and worth-your-while attractions, the Marine Studies Centre is also located at an amazing spot. Right next to the water you really get the feeling you're out at sea with the fish!

This aquarium is definitely worth your visit, so please do!

We spent a marvellous two hours at the centre.

The staff were knowledgeable and informative. The exhibits were fascinating and so was the simulated diving experience. Graham and Leisa Downes

This small but unique educational facility offers far more than one would expect.

The twisted gravel road leading to the Aquarium may make some inexperienced tourist drivers a bit uneasy but it’s well worth the effort! I would highly recommend a guided tour to get the most of this extremely educational experience. Make an afternoon of the visit to explore all that the Aquarium has to offer. The staff is very friendly and eager to share their wealth of knowledge. You will be amazed and surly fall in love with the local marine life on display. To top it all off, it’s one of the best priced attractions in the area!

The Marine Studies Centre is not to be missed!
