We did the guided museum tour which was great.
Excellent.
Small but interesting local museum.
Great video + variety of displays.

Rotorua Museum looks stunning from the outside.
The garden is definitely worth a visit. Despite from that there is nothing that is special and exclusive for Rotorua Museum.

Not completely free but all superb and deserving of at least 1/2 a day each - fascinating history of NZ, NZs involvement in global war, natural history, highly recommend.

Simply brilliant.
Beautiful architecture, stunning gardens and fasinating displays. A definate must do in Rotorua. The cafe is very good too!
