Went on a Dolphin cruise in the Bay of Island + swimming with them.
Great crew and fantastic day.

Perfect boat, low deck so you could be as close with the dolphins!
We had a group of 60 dolphins which was of course great. We could not swim with the, because of young baby dolphins. (we got our money, an extra fee back).

Great day trip with around Paihia.
Pitty we couldnt swim with the dolphins (they had calves) Hole in the rock very cool.

They were mainly talking to each other. No details about where we would go.

Watched a few dolphins from a distance, as they were feeding we couldn't swim with them, then tried looking for whales instead.
Saw a couple of spouts, but ran out of time to get close. At least the staff put in some effort to make our day interesting when we couldn't swim.

We paid $100 to swim with Dolphins and only ended up seeing them briefly.
We got no money back and could have gone on a dolphin watching tour for half the price.

A bit expensive. If you get the chance, do it in the south island.
