Weekend down in Wellington. Within five minutes of entering the baggage area at the airport, we were picked up by a friendly member of their staff and taken back to their home base. They were very quick and very clear about everything. No issues, great little car. Would recommend and will use again in the future. Cheers Guys.

We picked up a car from the Nelson Airport. Drove to Kaikoura. Then on to Hanmer Springs, Greymouth, Nelson, then finally finishing off at the Ferry where we dropped off the car. This trip was over 6 days.
Both processes of picking up & dropping off the car was flawless. We loved the car (Rav 4). It was great on petrol. Made the longer drive very comfortable. We would use Omega Rentals again, and also
request the same style of car.
Definitely recommend Omega. We rented a car twice for two weeks each time. Great value as Omega website had almost 50% cheaper prices than any car rental comparison service, and the cars were totally decent. Nothing fancy, but they used little gas, worked without problems and served us well. We got especially good service in South Island, specifically Picton and Christchurch (city and airport offices). Friendly, unhurried staff. In Christchurch city, the mechanic took some time to address our concern about a loud noise in the front axles/tires which turned out to be a rock in the brake pad. At the airport, we got a free shuttle to the terminal after returning our car. I was happy to pay these people.

Great service, picked up our RAV4 in Queenstown in the 16/01/19 for return to Picton in 28/01/19 the Spanish young lady who handled our pickup was great and had us on our way in no time. The car was clean and drove really well. Drop off in Picton just as good and the gentleman who dropped us off at the ferry port was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely book with Omega next time, we found them to be as their slogan says ‘upfront and honest’
The branch at the Queenstown airport that is not even at the airport only in the vicinity was appalling to deal with. The 2 guys that we dealt with were doing their best to sort things out and eventually got it sorted but the girl there was so rude so uninterested in us. While we were trying to communicate with her and tell her our concerns she couldn't even be bothered to have eye contact with us what ever was in the big plastic box she had her head in was far more important to her than trying to help a customer and their concerns. Not a good experience on many levels but thank you to the guy who picked us up from the airport and the one who took us to the airport today. Don't intend use this company again nor recommend them
My husband and I hired a small car from Omega in Wellington and returned it at Auckland airport 15 days later.
The company was very professional. The car was immaculately clean and in great working order.
We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the car and touring around the spectacularly beautiful North Island of New Zealand.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone hiring a car in New Zealand.

Found Omega on line in Vancouver, BC, Canada, book my rental from home. They sent paper work and the sent it back and all went smoothly. They were very nice and sent clear instructions on how and where to pick the car up at Picton Ferry terminal.
No hassles when dropping off in Queenstown. Very nice people to deal with. As Omega is a new rental company their office is of site in Queenstown where we dropped the car off. They had a shuttle to drive us back to airport a short 5 minute ride
Car was clean and well maintained drove it for 15 days and worked flawlessly.
I will be renting from them from now on
Omega rental cars had the most competitive rates. They have a free shuttle that can pick you up and drop you off from the airport and their depot. The car was reliable and nice to drive for day drips to Motueka, Nelson Lakes and Marahau. There is a key drop box if you have a flight that leaves before they're open, in this case we organised a taxi to be ready to pick us up from the depot to the airport. Friendly staff who are nice and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend Omega rental cars.
I rented a Toyota hatchback from Omega in Dec 2018 to Jan 2019. I booked it online (www.omegarentalcars.com), chosen the Gold-Cover and got charged for the pre-booking around $100. So I thought I booked the car and Gold cover insurance.But when I picked up the car at Christchurch airport office, I show the staff(a Chinese guy) the email I received about the booking and pre-charged. He told me that I booked on a wrong website, not their own website (1.the staff at local branch is not honest and also mislead ). So I paid more for the booking, asked me if I want to cancel the online booking and re-do in the store. I said it is fine, I do not want to waste time. Then he asked me if I would like to buy insurance, I thought I already purchased the Gold-cover online, so I did not choose the insurance at the store (2.misleading). He went through my booking and did not tell me the truth. So I paid the left in the store, but did not charge me for the insurance at the store. I thought I booked online, then my insurance will be charged automatically. But the truth is not as I thought.
As I left the store, I checked my credit card, I did not get charged for the insurance, so I give a call to the customer service again, they said if you buy insurance online website then you can claim from the online website(3.the customer service 0800 52 52 10 (NZ) is really useless, misleading me ). It is so confused me what is the difference between online and local branch. This confusion ruins my two days of the whole journey. I worried about if no insurance covered, any windscreen chips or scratch might cause me 2500 excess fees. So when I arrived Queenstown at 4 pm, I googled the omega branch at Queenstown airport, the address is outdated online. (4. outdated info online) So in total, I am very disappointed with omega and I will never come back again and no reference to any friends!
Appalling customer service, we were left waiting at Nelson airport for almost an hour with no apology for their mistake (which was that they simply forgot about us). We use rental cars a lot when traveling and would certainly not use them again after receiving such poor customer service.
