Pure silliness. Rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball with 40 litres of warm water sloshing around you. It sounds ridiculous because it is, and that's exactly why people love it. Travellers of all ages consistently say they've never laughed so hard in their lives.
If you're picking a track, go the Sidewinder. The zig-zag makes it. The ride is short, that's the one honest gripe across hundreds of reviews, and the price can sting a little for a single run. Worth knowing going in. That said, promo code RANKERS knocks 10% off, which softens it, and there's a hot tub waiting at the bottom which I reckon makes the whole thing feel a bit more worthwhile.
Staff get consistently good mentions too. Friendly, organised and clearly used to nervous first-timers. They sort you out with gear so no need to stress about what to wear. Good wet weather activity if Rotorua's doing its thing. And as one couple in their late 50s put it after rating it a 10, sometimes you just need to roll down a hill in a ball.

It was everything I imagined and more.
Staff were amazing all around and the experience is definitely something to live for.
In particular I want to give a special thanks to Far (do hope I spelt his name right) he was approachable, clear and effective, his engagement with my family and kids made them want to do the experience that much more and just generally checking in on our experience made me and my family felt like we had special treatment. Really impressed with his skills and you can see as clear as day that he has a natural for it. And of course the remainder of the staff, your work also didn’t go unnoticed.
Highly recommend anybody looking for once in a life time experience and the best part about it, the time frame is all on your own accord.

I have never laughed harder in an activity!
It was such a fun sensation. However very pricey; for what I paid I should have gotten at least 2 runs. Other than that, It was very fun.

It is really funny!
They have some cabins where you change your clothes, they take you up and you roll down the hill. When you finish you take a little bath in the jacuzzi.

I went with my friend and we did it together in one ball.
There was a bit of water inside so it is funny to do it in the winter on the rain. That is something you do not see and other places and is a must do.

Lots and lots of fun, we had three of us in one ball, so funny!!
A bit pricey for such a quick ride but we got to go in the spa after which was nice.
