My No1 land based wildlife viewing pick in NZ.
Here's why;
This tour is very different to all the others in Dunedin (and NZ for that matter)
It's the only tour where you have a very decent chance of seeing the Hoiho (Yellow Eyed Penguin) in the wild. This penguin has been on rough times recently and has quickly the become the rarest in the world. Less that 150 breeding pairs are left. This number is dwindling each year. The chance to see one of these critters going about it's business in the wild is a very special thing.
Visiting this private family farm gives you this chance.
It's location places this family in somewhat of a monopoly (of the penguin kind), but they don't take the piss. Tours are limited to 3 per day and a maximum of 10 per group.
They give each tour decent time to look around (4 hours). It's far removed from supermarket tourism. Check out their Google reviews if you need any more assurance.
If you're into wildlife, this is the NZ tour I'd go out of my way to visit.
