Great place to stay!
Clean toilets, lovely cafe close by with toys for kids, playground, rubbish bins, book shelter, Christmas decoration. Plenty of space.

Sheltered table for cooking...

No showers, no barbecue, but no problem...

Donation requested, would definitely recommend...

On a nice clear day, beautiful views of the snow capped mountains...

Also books and dvds inside a fridge if you want to read or watch something while you stay here

With a rugby field behind the gravel parking place. Some books in a old fridge and a

Non drinking water was available but infortunately all 6 toilets was out of order. They placed 2 portaloo to save the day. The next morning 2 of the toilets was back in order

Big parking lot, great facilities. Super clean toilets with running water. Refill water. Trash bins. Picnic table. Everything you can ask for at a city close campground (the info on this site is not updated). Here is a council that wants people to visit, travel by van and experience the country. We happily donated some money for our stay. Someone put flowerpots around the facilities, cute. Much appreciated spot, thanks!

Beautiful cozy freedom camping spot close to the west coast.
Up to 4 nights max stay, donations are welcome. Good phone Signal, but quiet space. Shelter for cooking when there is bad weather. A lot of really clean flushing toilets. Definitely would recommend for 1 night, maybe even longer! :)

The free camp is really great! There are toilets super close, plenty of space, a sheltered table in case of rain, and large sinks in the restrooms.
