  • A few spots are available next to the town sports club.

    $10 per person + $3 for a shower. Payment is made via Penny. The shower doesn’t work — you pay but the water stays cold and there is no pressure.

    Facilities are great.

    However I’ve lost my stuffed animal (a small brown dog) if anyone see it please email me at laura.fournier@outlook.fr

  • Beautiful site with 6 spaces for freedom campers.

    Facilities were very clean and we were very happy to have a hot shower.

    Turn left down Scargill Domain.

    Toilet/shower families very clean.

    Quiet camping area, just a shame that campsites are designated to one small area rather than wider use of the domain including shades sites under the trees.

    $10 koha for use of bathroom facilities, or free if not using the facilities.

    Drive in the designated areas. Enough space. Good showers, fairly new. Nice walk around the reserve.

  • This wasn't signposted, so we initially drove past it.

    Head down the drive signposted Scargil Domain.

    Bays marked by posts in a line on flat grass. Beautifully maintained and quiet. Didn't use facilities so can't comment on them

    A lovely stop on our way to Kaikoura - would recommend
