We completed the HeliHike with Mike, very knowledgeable guide.
Quite pricey but how often do you walk on a glacier and fly in a helicopter in one day. Plus it won't be here forever!!

Went on the Ice Explorer trip which was unforgettable.
It is an expensive activity but is worth the money. You get 2-3 hours exploring the glacier with an awesome guide plus a short helicopter ride to and from the glacier. It was breathtaking.

Very nice staff and the guides (Scotty, Michael and Tom) were very observant of everyone in the group.

This was a great experience.
Got to fly in a helicopter to the glacier and back as well as having a few hours on the glacier with a knowledgeable tour guide. Also, complementary hot pools access after was awesome!

So it started with a quick helicopter ride which in itself was pretty amazing.
Then all the equipment for the climb was provided. It was good fun, never done anything like it before and the views were superb.

The glaciers were bigger than expected. Smooth heli ride and plenty of time on the ice.

Valley walk - this was a waste of money.
Apart from a short walk through rainforest on a path not open to the public, the walk to the glacier was on a DOC path with some geological information provided by a guide.

Ice Explorer Tour - very nice trip on the glacier.
And a very nice guide whos name is Charlotte from France. Also the experience with the helicopter was unique.
