  • Fabulous place, lovely hosts, great facilities (lounge, kitchen, laundry, showers/toilets), clean and well maintained, lots of drainage gone in so no problems with our RV in wet conditions on one of four

    powered sites. Oh, and they have a coffee machine! Beautiful secluded valley surrounded by dense bush. Continued on the River Road to Whanganui, a surprisingly good run, challenging in parts but hardly any traffic so ended up being a fairly relaxed run at slow pace right alongside the Whanganui River.

  • Perfect campground!

    It’s secluded, almost no noise pollution. Run by lovely humans! It’s got amazing views, free wifi in the guest house, clean bathrooms and showers, and a lovely kitchen/dining area. Loved the library too. Absolutely would come back.

  • Lovely little camping in the middle of nowhere.

    Clean facilities, free wifi in the guest house. During high season you can get lunch in the office. They also offer jet boat tours on the Wanganui river, which was fantastic, Ken is a great guide!

  • What a beautiful stay.

    Facilities are clean and staff are very welcoming and pleasant. So peaceful and quiet. Surround by nature, we also heard kiwis in the night, how special this place is. Lots of rich history here too as the owners are local and grew up in this place.

    Would recommend this place to everyone.
