Fine for a night!
Sadly for us the restaurant was closed both nights we stayed, so there wasn't much to do. Bathroom is a fair walk from the car park and only one shower. At least it was hot!

A very pleasant stay with friendly staff, Kate, whom my kids love to play with and talk to.
Only one shower, but it is nice and clean. Feel like home. Downside is next to road, a bit noisy, but it will be quiet at night. Must try pancake.

What a stay!
We ended up spending a few days with this lovely family (the Dutch owners). Really close to the mountain. Great restaurant with spectacular views of Mt Egmont. Camp site doesn’t offer a shelter/kitchen (and isn’t advertised as such) but toilets and showers are clean. If you’re fine with this, GO!

Great little campground.
Not too fancy which is fine by me. Showers aren't available 24 hours a day as they are rainwater and need to be conserved. Only point of mention. Wonderful restaurant on site with amazing Indonesian food. 20 minutes to new Plymouth, 20 minute drive to mangorei car park for pouakai shuttle. Would stay again would recommend.

Nice view of the volcano.
Owner was rather unfriendly when we arrived and we didn’t really feel welcome here and were glad to leave in the morning. The toilets and shower are clean it’s just a long walk from the campground. There’s only one shower which isn’t available 24 hours.
