We thoroughly enjoyed our short but sweet stay here. Denise gave us a very warm welcome and provided extremely helpful tips on what to explore in the area - including much insight on the native birds in the area! We were very comfortable the night we stayed here - the facilities were new and very clean/well maintained. Very short drive from Punakaiki - would recommend if driving through the area to see the Pancake Rocks.

Truly a welcoming place!
Peaceful night in the nature, surrounded by interesting birds.
The facilities are new and tidy, The wifi is fast, and there is much to discover in the area around this campsite !
Denise and Bruce are really helpful and enthusiastic owners of this campsite.
Thanks for everything :)
A precious, peaceful, bird filled corner if this magnificent coast. Tucked into native bush and with the distant roar of the ocean. Prtrel flew overhead at dusk and I heard Kiwi in the Forest. Simple facilities at this stage and very clean. Wonderful to stay where the environment is respected and loved. Thank you Denise and Bruce.
Excellent campsite. Brand new beautiful outhouse. They had fresh water available. Beautiful views of trees with lots of birds. Room for 9 campers with decent space for each and filled up in mid March.

A gem of a place. Recently opened with big spaces for 9 self contained camper vans (at this stage). One can hear the sea and have the sanctuary of the bush. Great for the soul. Denise and Bruce are true guardians of this land. It was a privilege to stay.
The Coast Road Holiday Park is a delightful rustic refuge just off Highway 6. The owners are long time residents with a wealth of knowledge about the beautiful natural scenery and wildlife. I really enjoyed waking up to the songs of rare native birds!
