The best way to go for the Tongariro crossing. They drop you off before the other buses arrive at the start and they have 2 pick up options at the end of the day.

Whale Watch Kaikoura
Very nice to see the whales and very organised.
Maybe a little too well organised. Worth it though. Check the info-board in the shop to see how many whales have recently been seen.
