Me and my girlfriend chose to hire a Camper from TA.

We picked up on the 17th of August in Auckland and dropped off at the same location on the 28th of September.

The van itself was brilliant, never had a single problem. Perfect size for the two of us. Bed really easy to make and put away. Came with a porta-Poti which we didn't use but that makes the van, certified self contained. Which means you can freedom camp in every available freedom spot.

The water lasted roughly two days when we were freedom camping. Our pre paid gas bottle lasted the whole six weeks. We were getting about 425km from a full tank. We went 4 days without powering up and it didn't die on us at all so not sure how long that lasts.

The people in the Auckland shop were brilliant both times. On returning the vehicle the store manager gave me a lift to the train station which he didn't have to do. He was a genuinely nice guy.

I would highly recommend TA as they are affordable and practical, and would definitely use them again.
