Well explained and maintained park through geysers, mud holes, volcanic crater landscapes - expensive but well worth it.

Interesting exhibits, but a lot of them in bad condition.
A positive was the Maori dancing. A negative that it is expensive, we found the same exhibits in Wellington for free.

Pickup service at Auckland Airport did not work well.
Unfriendly staff in Auckland, cheap rental without extra charges. Drop off was very uncomplicated (Wellington).

Beautiful, well maintained trail through an untouched forest, along rivers and to Kauri trees.
Super DOC Information Centre with super helpful and friendly staff.
