Kapiti Island Nature Tours
We stayed on the island one night and it was magical.
A bit rustic so don't expect the Shangri-la. We were there for the birds and it was magical! The birds are right there, up close! Take a walk around the grounds in the back or on the trails to the beach and up to the mountain top!
At night we went out at about 9:30p at dark and very quietly walked slowly around listening for stirrings in the bushes and just after 11pm we spotted a Kiwi!!!! It was so great!
Food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly! We were so sad to leave!

We went for a 5 day kayak trip in the Bay of Islands and it was fantastic!
Yvonne took great care of us and Sasha our guide was a delight. It was magical to camp and cook and relax and kayak outside away from email for 5 days! The food was good, the logistics of food, gear, and boats and all worked perfectly. They took us to remove little beaches that few have access to unless you approach from the water. It was magical!

We loved our Aqua Taxi boat guys.
Very friendly and entertaining. This is a great service that makes the trek very manageable. Just be sure they hand you YOUR back when you get off! The driver tossed my friend a pack and she really didn't look closely. The boat took off and then she realized it wasn't her pack! They got the packs sorted out and everyone was very helpful - it's an easy mistake to make, just be sure you watch the details! Time for colorful yarn or something tied to your pack since they do look similar!
