Although the short boat ride through the glowworm cave is spectacular, the caves themselves are fairly ordinary.
Also, when it is busy tour groups are very large.

Fast boat with glass bottom to Cathedral Cove and along to Coromandel Coast.
Beautiful coastal scenery and an opportunity to snorkel (gear provided). Nice trip but water a bit cloudy for much viewing of fish.

Museum of New Zealand
This free to enter museum is excellent.
Very interesting and well presented exhibitions. In particular, the Gallipoli exhibit is superb. This is a must do activity in Wellington.
