The owner, Kenrick, was absolutely fabulous to deal with right from my initial enquiry.

I told him I wanted an upfront complete price of hiring the motorhome including coverage for insurance as I'd noticed with other companies there would be additional costs after the trip based on km's travelled and god knows what else because they would attach a terms & conditions consisting of a gazillion pages for info on insurances etc etc. Who has the time or the patience to read all that fine print!! With Kenrick the whole process was simple and easy.

Kenrick picked us up from airport, back to his house to go through the workings of the van and to sign a very simple easy to understand contract and then we were on our way. Kenrick was always available on his phone if need be (which we needed to call a couple of times). Upon return of the van, which we returned later than planned due to getting stuck in massive, congested traffic which in turn messed Kenrick around with an appointment he had, he got his friend to drop us to Auckland in this congested traffic which took over an hour. We were very grateful Kenrick and Peter. And then after getting dropped off in Auckland I realised I'd left clothes in a little cupboard in the campervan! No worries. Kenrick insisted he would drop them to the hotel before we left in a couple of days to go back to Oz. And he did. Now that is service above and beyond.

The campervan is great. I was apprehensive at first to drive as I'd never driven anything bigger than a car and it was my first campervan experience! My fears dissipated quite quickly. The van is a dream to drive and has great power. Cars were pulling over to let US pass. Very good on fuel. Never had the need to book a powered site as it's got very adequate solar panels. Van was fully equipped with everything we needed. The shower and toilet were great. And all in immaculate condition.

I hope to do the South Island one day and won't hesitate to book with Kenrick again.
