Great value for money.
$60 for a powered Campervan site, impeccable bathroom and shower facilities (includes gender neutral/family/accessible showers and bathrooms), WiFi, kitchen facilities fully stocked with all kinds of cooking equipment and plenty of room. Clean and cosy communal rooms/outdoor spaces. Spaces aren’t cramped and are well maintained. Laundry room available $4 each for washing and drying. All staff very friendly and helpful. Rescheduled our road trip to come back!

$20 for a powered site is a bargain!
The space is clean and very quiet, toilets also kept very clean. We happened to be there over Auckland Anniversary day weekend so there were only a handful of campers there, unsure how busy it would get during museum opening hours. Also has nonpotable water.

Gorgeous views on a clear day, fantastic for star gazing due to being in the dark sky reserve.
Long drop toilets available which were just ok, but a bit of a walk unless you park right down at the bottom. Not many flat spaces but plenty of room.

Decent free campsite.
Surprised to see well maintained portaloos which was a plus. Down about 1km of gravel track which was tough on our small camper’s suspension. Not particularly scenic but convenient 25 minutes drive from the ferry.

Decent site with plenty of space but facilities were underwhelming for a paid site, though $8pp is reasonable.
Had clean toilets and a cold shower.

This site was very full but we were able to park for free a little ways down the road instead.
Nice space next to the harbour with easily accessible public toilets.

Great little site right by the lake.
Brilliant facilities for a free site - cooking shelter, several toilets, dishwashing area. Only downside is A LOT of flies around the toilets & shelter, a lot of live ones at night and many many dead ones in the day everyone. Not the biting kind but a little off putting still so something to consider.

Brilliant site.
Plenty of space. Great facilities for a free site, portaloos and long drop toilets available and a dishwashing station. Right by the river (lovely to sit by on a sunny day) and walking distance to Huka falls.
South Island ▷ Fiordland ▷ Te Anau ▷
Basic camping site on a quiet farm very close to Te Anau.
Running water (unsure if potable) and rubbish bins available. WiFi available but was mostly unreliable (due to a recent storm apparently). Pleasant experience and very convenient.
