Very noisy site, under flight path and between two freight train tracks.
Lots of Lorries staying overnight as well.
Didn’t feel the safest as a female traveller as the toilets are so far from the freedom camping parking spots and not well lit at night.

Our experience was mixed at Bay of Islands Holiday park.
The staff were super lovely and friendly & the pitches and outdoor areas were great, but we found the communal spaces (bathrooms and kitchens) to be really dirty and run down unfortunately.
Ovens were rusty & greasy, cooking areas seemed really grubby and the 1 kettle for the whole camp kitchens looked like it hadn’t been replaced in years, black inside.
The showers in one of the women’s blocks were completely cold with no option to change the temperature. Lots of flies in/on the toilets and around the sinks.
The cabin kitchen area however was much nicer so we actually used that!
Lovely site and ok for one night but definitely needs some modernisation and could do with more frequent cleaning. Some lovely permanent residents and some other guests who weren’t quite as lovely (but this is obviously not down to the van park themselves)!
