Lake Middleton Campsite
This is a lovely spot next to Lake Middleton and very close to Lake Ōhau, with flushing toilets and a dump station.
Be careful where you park though!! We tried to park near the lake and ended up getting stuck in the mud for a couple of days until we found a very helpful local who could get us out. Make sure you park on high ground.

White Horse Hill Campground
Brilliant DOC campsite with fantastic views and excellent walks into the National Park.
Great facilities too - cooking shelter with large sinks, flushing toilets, treated drinking water, good phone service, rubbish and recycling. The perfect spot, loved it.

Uretiti Beach Campsite
Favourite DOC campsite by far!
Excellent location right next to the beach, showers (cold free, hot $2), laundry facilities and even a book swap library! Lots of space but did get very busy when we visited mid-Jan. Staff are fantastic - friendly and very helpful when we had issues with car battery. 10/10!
