Very basic campsite, we were the only ones there so felt a bit eerie.
Basic facilities and water really needs to be treated or boiled, came out brown when we first ran the tap. Plenty of space and I reckon during summer it’s nice- follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel!

Stayed one night.
Toilets ok. Gets very busy we came in spring and by night the place was full. Only decent place near New Plymouth I guess! Never saw any wardens but had heard some bad experiences so make sure you are parked correctly. Can be a little noisy in the morning with people leaving. We decided to go somewhere else the next night :) - follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel!

One single long drop toilet which was fairly clean and didn’t stink!
A few level spots but not loads. We arrived at around 4pm and there were a few campers, when we woke up that had multipled - this is during spring so get there early in summer. Great location from the main town but have to leave at 9:30am, could possible stay till 10 to watch the rapid release! Perfect for a night :) - Follow us IG/YT Milly0nthem0ve

Stayed here for 1 night and the winds were terrible didn’t sleep!
Not much cover or protection. Toilets are kept open and there is drinking water which is a bonus. Some spots are level. Can imagine during peak it gets quite busy as there was already 5 of us. Other than the weather was a decent spot- follow @milly0nthem0ve IG/YT for all things travel

Not sure why there are negative reviews because we had a good time!
Not peak season granted but the owner was friendly and the facilities were clean. This is a kiwi camp so get familiar with that before arriving. We found it super easy to operate- good hot showers and wifi plus a friendly horse :) - follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel

Stayed for 2 nights and our favourite doc so far.
Lots of space but would advise levellers. Clean and unsmelly long drop toilets, cold outdoor showers but does the trick and water. Friendly DOC staff, you can buy ice, and use laundry services. Also there is a place to charge devices but your responsibility! Follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel

First come first serve- we did self check in as no one was at the office when we arrived at 5pm, also no one there the next day when we left at 10am.
Although DOC pass isn’t included. Both paid for hot showers which were 2$ each but ended up being stone cold and also really gross. Same with the toilets and washing up area. Water needs to be boiled first. Not many level sites either. Nice walks nearby but don’t think it’s worth the fee unfortunately :( - follow @milly0nthem0ve on Ig/YT for all things travel

Stayed here for 3 nights.
Decent and clean facilities, long drop toilets. Come prepared as there’s not much near in terms of supplies. We came during winter/spring so had to stay on the car park essentially but we didn’t mind as it was flat and quiet! Went for a nice swim as well. Stayed here for 1 night.
Space fills up quick and there’s only 3 available so be quick! Toilets shut at 8pm and open again at 6:30am. Very simple and does for a quick night stop over :) follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel

For basically a car park we felt super safe on a Saturday night.
Nice level spots, a water fountain and probably the nicest toilets I’ve ever seen. Ok some people come and go as it was a Saturday but nothing loud or noisy. Close to town and not far from Hamilton either. Great stop for 1 night - follow @milly0nthem0ve on IG/YT for all things travel

Stayed here for two nights during spring time.
Decent facilities but toilets were a bit gross, no surprise there though! Fairly quiet, campervans have a separate area to tent sites, cooking shelter near tent area. Good location to the mountain and level spots :) - follow on IG/YT Milly0nthem0ve for all things travel!
