Backpackers, campervans, tent sites and powered camp sites, and all lovers of nature will receive a warm welcome at Riverside Haven Lodge and Holiday Park. Warren & Janene are very welcoming to all guests. Camp site is well equipped with 57 powered sites and plenty of non powered sites. I have stayed here on serveral occasions. Camp kitchen facilities are well stocked with everything you need. Would recommend coming and trying it out for yourself. Clean bathroom and toilet facilities. Heat pumps for warmth in bathrooms on those cold days. Dog friendly as well.

Nice outlook at camp but grounds untidy and unpleasant owners.

Check-in was easy and the owner was welcoming and generous sharing his knowledge about local activities. Setting is rural and very picturesque with many mature trees but with plenty of open spaces and sites on flat ground.
Facilities were very clean and well presented. However, they would be insufficient if there were large numbers in the camp - no problem for us as there were only a few guests when we stayed.
Location is close to MTB trails, Hampden and Moeraki beaches. Would be happy to stay here again.

Really friendly team, easy check in, lovely site with pretty views over the river! The friendly goat was a cute little highlight in the morning. Thank you for having us! Would definitely recommend.
We paid $16 each ($32 total) for a powered site.

Great camping facilities. Had the kitchen to ourselves and enjoyed the warmth of the lounge before retreating to the camper for the night. Owner was very pleasant.

Great spot, good facilities. Plenty of space and not too hard to find a flat spot for a tent. The kitchen can be a little cozy at peak times, but was perfectly tolerable. There are also BBQs and plenty of space outside.
Dispite being close to the highway, road noise was minimal.
With no significant roads inside the camp, I was happy for my 3yo to go between the toilet, tent, and kitchen unattended.
The river was warm and had a good swimming hole as well as areas suitable for small children to paddle. There was also a trampoline and a few other things to play on.
Take a torch, it's dark at night.
