Busdriver Gus was really nice, told us lots of stuff.

Had a great experience climbing to the summit of Mt Tongariro.
All gear and equipment provided. Very physically challenging - at least moderate level fitness required.

Hard work - 7 hours of tough, mountainous walking but well worth the effort.
The views are spectacular.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing: Very knid and friendly staff and guide.
We paid a guide to take a route different from the main track to avoid the crowd. The guide did, but only because we asked for it.

Adrift cancelled day-of without any advance notice despite my own efforts to confirm my pre-paid Tongariro guided crossing.
Manager also insulted me and my home country. Best off taking a bus to the start and doing the hike on your own!
