Wonderful tour in a 4 x 4 with a very good guide Amazing landscapes, lots of stories about the movie making.
This company is great. We did Skippers Canyon Land Rover 4 hour tour. Scenery and drive is spectacular (see their website or brochures).
We got a pickup in Arrowtown and a great driver guide (Paul). Great Insights, humor and driving. It isn't cheap $175pp but if you are budgeting for peak experiences do this.
Nice ATV tour in a great environment, but somewhat standard tourism event.
I did the skippers canyon 4WD tour and the quad biking two days later, the Guides were so friendly and had so many brilliant stories about the frontier days of queenstown and the surrounding area. the skippers canyon is amazing, I even had a go at panning for gold! The quad bike ride was really fun, i'd personally recomend a wet day so you can ride through all the puddles and splash through the mud! but thats just my opinion! Queenstown is AWESOME!
Good powerful bikes and beautiful scenery up the mountain! But instructors needa loosen up a little. Ride is a tad short.
Great serice and nice guides but driving experience not extraordinary (and a tad short 1 1/2 hr out of 3 1/2).
Really nice quad bikes! Got pretty dirty!
Very small, intimate group. Friendly driver who could use a little more enthusiasm for the LOTR part of the tour. Great drive through nature.
Awesome tour with funny + nice guide. More information (and maybe some more 'inside' stories) about the movies and the sets would have improved the tour.
Nikki, our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the local area and our tour which included Lord of the Rings scenery. She made sure our whole family enjoyed the time spent. Went straight home and watched the movies again. Fun and enjoyable day.
This was good, although I probably wouldn't do it again. I expected more offroading. Good for those people that don't have their own rental car or motorhome.
Nice guide but sounded like his knowledge came out of a book. Wasn't a Kiwi either which I found disappointing.
