The campsite is out the back of the tavern, by a noisy highway.
Facilities fine, pleasant surrounds, $15 per night to pitch my tent.

The facilities are old and worn, but very much complete and well maintained. Hot showers, separate m/f bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen.
The owners of the hotel are friendly and opened up for us when we arrived late. I think this little place in the middle of nowhere deserves more custom.

I stayed at the Beaumont holiday park a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend.
We had a tent so it was $10pp which was very reasonable considering the facilities. There was a kitchen which came with pots, pans, knives, forks, plates, cups, fridge, oven everything your kitchen at home would have which was just excellent. Most campgrounds offer stoves but you are expected to bring your own utensils. There was also a TV if you wanted to watch. They had bathrooms with showers and the women's even had a trainer toilet seat for toddlers that could be fitted overtop of the regular one. The only bad thing was that the site is located on a state highway which means you hear a lot of traffic, but we were there to see NZ so we weren't planning to sleep all day anyway, and the nights were relatively quiet after about 7pm. I think the site is excellent value for money. The facilities aren't modern but they're clean and offer everything you need. I would definitely recommend this holiday park to anyone heading down that part of the south island.

My husband and I stayed 1 night here in the hotel.
It is an older country hotel, however the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. Although we shared facilities this was no problem at all. Our hosts were very nice and obliging and the meals were wonderful. We had such fun mixing with colourful locals and other travellers, most whom were cycling the Clutha Gold Trail like us. We hope that this becomes a regular stop for cyclists on the Clutha Gold Trail
