A really good experience as a family! We had clear visiability in the water and a very enthustiastic guide and skipper. It was very educational and we saw a lot of different fish. Don't expect it to be colourful - though. The fish are all kind of brownish.

Glass Bottom Boat - Goat Island responds:

Dear Sue
Thank you for your feedback.
I'm Sorry to hear you visited us on one of those days when the visibility was poor. Sorry to hear it wasn't a good day for you. We do try to advise customers before they buy the tickets that the visibility isn't good so people get the option of going or not.
We cancel trips when we feel the visibility in the water is too poor as we do want our customers to be happy and satisfied. Many want to go on the boat even if the visibility is poor as they enjoy the commentary and to see the big caves and we have to turn them away telling them the water is to dirty.

Not a good experience. We were just bums on seats for them. Some nice fish and a nice place. Seemed like a husband and wife team - he steered the boat and she took the money at the start and neither was very friendly. They seem to have it made, the only operator in a popular tourist area and they don't need to make any effort to get their bums on seats. Disappointing!
