Nice stay here, lovely views, calm waters and is sheltered, gets quite busy with the boats coming and going, clean toilets with outside shower and drinking water, can stay 3 nights, miles away from any shops so be prepared. Parking for 5 or 6 motorhomes.

Such a visually beautiful and energetically calm spot, cute little boats across the way, shallow waters. I took my SUP for a paddle and had a swim. The toilet was clean and well lit. Look forward to staying again.

Nice spot, very close to the nearby homes. Toilets were clean and modern. Outdoor cold shower. All spots were full February 2020 (maybe 5 or 6 vehicles in total).
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Beautiful sport, very windig during our stay, but it was worth it. Clean, new flush toilets, cold outdoor shower. Space for 4-5 campervans. Would stay here again!

Beautiful spot with 360 (nearly) estuary type views. Modern clean toilets, outdoor shower. Few nearby houses, very quiet, no other vans when we stayed (Feb 19).

Fantastic secluded site, right on the water front with exceptionally clean toilets & outside cold shower, limited parking & safe swimming in harbour, would highly recommend this for couple days quiet retreat

This is a nice spot to stay overnight. Freedom camping is allowed and there are public toilets next to the parking area - very clean (!) and they are not locked overnight. You need to bring a torch because there is no light in the toilets. It's very quiet and the view was great. We had a sunset over the bay in all different colours and saw a stingray in the water because the tide was low and we were exploring the area a bit. We would definitely come back here to spend the night.

Deep in the heart of orchard country - another quiet waterfront location. Boat ramp, public toilet, and directly across the water from another freedom camping spot at Kotuku Reserve. Specified overnight parking is right on the water - a nice spot.
