Restricted road access to Kauaeranga Valley campsites
Cyclone Vaianu has damaged the Wainora Overbridge – road access is now restricted as far as the Booms Flat Campsite.

The campsites below are bookable however are only accessible via foot; so campervans/motorhomes are unable to stay at these campsites:

Beautiful place, close to the start of The Pinnacles track, but not so crowded as the final campsite.
Very close to the river. Trees all around so it's easy to hide a car in a shade

Beautiful site next to the river and close enough to walk up The Pinnacles.
Long drop toilets and recycling for rubbish.

Well maintained, there was only one other camper when we stayed. Stunning.
