  • Planned to stay at Millers Flat but was too congested and on our way back found Black Gully.

    Only people there, very peaceful and quiet. Facilities aren't great but overall a great stop

  • Called in he over Waitangi weekend 2021 for a rest stop and we will be back for sure was just bloody awesome we found a really clean creek at the base of the camp it was well worth the stop.

    The ground conditions were very dry we had a large caravan possibly a different story on a wet day

  • This place is great.

    At first we were a little freaked out by the state of it all. There is a rusty old playground and some seemingly abandoned buildings. Once two of the locals came round to walk their dog and we had a chat it became clear this place is fantastic. Hot showers, cabins for a fee, maintained bathrooms. Water taps galore and even powered camp sites. Absolutely fabulous.
