  • Fantastic view of the glacier, interesting path.

Not for inexperienced walkers or those without walking boots.

  • This tramp was excellent...on one condition: the people we saw at the end viewpoint, where the picnic table is, didn't have a copy of our NzFrenzy guidebook, so they didn't know to bushwhack a

few meters down the slope, like the book says, to find the WAY better viewpoint stretching all the way down to the Tasman. Without NzFrenzy none of us would have found or bothered to bushwhack a bit further...but this tip changed the view from a 6 to a 10. YES!!!! No horde of glacier-area tourists at all---difficult but highly recommended!!

  • A difficult walk which took longer than expected even though we are relatively fit.

View at the end was not as stunning as expected.

  • Great views, not an easy walk because it is a very rocky, partly steep path, sturdy hiking boots are recommended, beautiful path as well through the rainforest.

  • From parking lot of Franz Josef Glacier the track to Peters Pool and continue to Roberts Point track.

Marvellous jungle!! Go as far as you like, it becomes more and more rocky.

  • Excellent view of the glacier from the top but it takes 2hrs to get up.

You have to be reasonably fit and ensure correct weather conditions.

  • Franz Josef Glacier - 1 hour into the walk their is a sign warning inexperienced or unguided walkers.

We would have preferred this signage at the start of the track.
