Information

Large waterfront site on a shallow bay great for boating and swimming. Choose a waterfront site or bush clearing to camp in. Walking, cycling or boat access only.

The Davies Bay Camping Ground is a back country campsite along Queen Charlotte track, about 1.5 hrs walk from Anakiwa car park.

Notices

Umungata Bay/Davies Bay toilet closed

The Norski toilet is closed as the tank is full. Visitors will need to use the 2 toilets available in the clearing about 300 m away.

Anakiwa Road closures
Anakiwa Road will be closed for maintenence during the following times:
- Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 January 2025
- Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 January 2025
The closures will be in place from 8 am to 5 pm with openings on the hour.

Gorgeous, little used campground with a magnificent view of Queen Charlotte Sound.
However, it has the most disgusting toilet I have ever seen and that is saying a lot!!
