Greta Valley campground is just gorgeous!
Not too big and lovely walks to be had with your dog alongside the grounds and surrounds. Charges for a powered site are $20 per person and showers are $3 pp extra. The facilities are clean and tidy and the owners are super friendy. Yes, it is very close to the highway but this didnt bother us too much but earplugs are a good option to consider if you’re a light sleeper. We would love to come back in Summer..

What a great find.
A small campground with pretty good amenities at a great price of $18 for a powered site for 1 adult. Included with the price is the use of the shower (no coins needed). It's been said that the road noise is a problem but, I parked up closer to the road & didn't have a problem. The hosts are friendly & laid back. I will definitely be back. A+++

Saved me my car broke down found this camping ground at midnight every one was asleep i knocked on the door and woke them up they put me in a spare cabin wich was awesome 1x double bed 1x bunks supper
silent air con great black out curtains comfy bed very clean and tidy , nice clean toilet bathroom great kitchn other camper gave me cup of tea in the morning while i was waiting for tow truck . Great camping ground all for $30 Thanks heaps have a great xmas .

$15 per person for the night. Owners were so friendly (and their dogs SO cute!) we thought bathrooms and kitchen were really clean.
Owners son was the highlight - he was such a cool dude, offered to help us unpack, welcomed us and showed us where everything was, we’d come back again just to visit him!!
We couldn’t believe how empty this campground was. Road was a little loud but if you’re camping you’ve got earplugs right!

Awesome wee get away especially being nice and close to Christchurch.
Super friendly owners. Facilities were clean and tidy with a nice big kitchen area. Handy having the tavern a short walk away. Kids all loved the playground too. We will definitely be back!

A decent place to rest your head with good basic facilities.
Toilet areas were clean and although we didn't use the kitchen it appeared to have all the necessary equipment to prepare food.
The tavern is a handy place for a meal and drinks and is obviously the meeting place for the locals. An hour or two in there (Friday night for us) will be more noisy than any traffic you will hear from SH1.
All in all a good stay. Thanks.

A lot of road noise but it didn’t bother me. Friendly manager. $15 for one person inc shower, $3 shower if you want to stay elsewhere. Kitchen has everything you need.

Excelent place to rest, a little bit noisy but it's really good place.
The owners are very kind! Nice and clean kitchen and toilets. The showers are very nice because they're unlimited! We paid 24 per night for a tent with my girlfriend.

Impressed with all the extra kitchen utensils. Really lovely friendly hosts. Good showers. Extremely reasonable charges for a short break. Looking forward to another stay there. Many thanks..

Toilets and showers are cleaned every morning.
Showers are included in the price if you stay.
Casual showers are $3.00 per person.
