Practically in the city, but with none of the noise. Surrounded by the bird sanctuary, the morning bird song is immense. we also had a couple of deer come and graze right next to us.
the staff are nice and friendly and the camping spots are generous in size. would highly recommend to anyone in the area as the price is cheap and the facilities are clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a quiet and peaceful site to stay on. I stayed in a cabin and it was basic and clean. The toilets and showers are extremely dated and the site has an old fashioned feel about it, but it served me well for an overnight.
Outstanding value for money, good hot shower, old but clean. Please note that there is no dump station.
Very helpful and friendly staff / manager. The BBQ & playground advertised were not operational or safe. Basic and old bathroom amenities, but very clean. Large camp kitchen. Lots of room, open sites.
Nice campsite up in the hills above Nelson. Big site, loads of space and perfectly good facilities including big laundry. Friendly owners too. It's a good 4km walk back from Nelson, as my feet will testify after new year's eve, but a perfectly pleasant one.
A great alternative to the hectic Tahuna camp during summer. Quiet and in the bush, but not a long walk to town.
Friendly staff. Lots of bird song morning & night. Older style. I like it.
