  • Attended a wedding in their garden, all buildings a very old and in need of renovations, there is no shelter in wedding garden so take umbrella's if you dont fancy getting heat stroke.

Food was very poor with small portions for such high cost you would expect bigger portions. They even ran out of some menu items before all guests were served. Although the reception area in the bush was beautiful, Take bug spray and warm jacket. Double room we stayed in was plain, old rooms, no tv just a bed…had over a dozen mozzies waiting for us, light in hallway stays on all night so shines into rooms through door windows. No aircon, Can hear next room snorers. Not worth price both rooms and wedding buffet dinner. I certainly wont be going back.

  • Stayed here one night on my way to Wellington.

I was the only one there and it was quite a bizzare little spot. You could have filmed a horror movie there haha. But no it was OK enough apart from the train running right behind it somewhere behind the trees. Woke me up in the middle of the night. Quite liked the big spooky forest with camp fire type log seating. Could imagine in Summer it is pretty cool

  • My son recently had his Wedding at Tatum Park.

From what I understand there were initially a few issues with communication, but once Jessica took over it was smooth sailing.

This is a camp, so expect camp style accommodation. - I slept in the big house which was lovely (very old kitchen that can't be used though) but tea and coffee making facilities were available. - Possibly a little pricey.

I also spent a night in a single room in the lodge and this was also very comfortable - again camp accommodation so don't go expecting 5 star! Well priced.

I did hear from a few that the double beds in the lodge were not so great, but that is easily fixed.

The day dawned with rain as a prospect (it was entirely outdoors) - but Jessica kept us informed and was on the ball if we needed to move indoors.

The reception food was good - excellent fare for a cold outdoor evening.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming with the bar staff being chatty. The fire pit was kept going all night long and provided much needed warmth - it created a fantastic atmosphere!

Overall from our experience they are definitely on the way to becoming a great venue - keep up the good work!

  • The floor was better than the bed.

My dad needs a c pak machine when he sleeps, so we ask if cabin has power.

Got told yes , but non of the plugs worked.

2 other people had fallen over on the path out side the cabins as all the pavement is broken up and is 1 big trip hazard,

The bar manager was the rudest b**** ever snatching serving cutlery off people and glasses and talked to everyone like a tart. After the cost of the wedding and having most cabins hired out as well I'm not happy with Tatum park.

For anyone looking at tatum park for a wedding just be aware the feeling the family got was if you don't like it someone else will fill your spot.

  • The whole place was unclean and unhygienic, glasses were dirty with lipstick, plates weren’t clean, rooms hadn’t even been made since the last guests.

Disgusted with how careless the staff were and how unapologetic everyone was. No one cared. I’m actually concerned for anyone who does stay here or attends an event. You never know what bugs you might catch.

  • we were with a sports team, the shared kitchen facilities were way over priced and had no running hot water, there were no lights for a whole night so teams were cleaning and cooking in pitch black darkness

which was unsafe and unwelcoming, there was no offer of reduced fee and we never saw management.

I had a cabin, which was supposedly refurbished, it was unfinished with a lumpy old bed, no TV draws that didnt open as the fridge was in the way, and the fridge froze everything, the shower was weak as was the WIFI all this for $125 a night.

We booked a BBQ but there was no gas, the campfire was not allowed to be lit unless there was someone with a permit.

The shared kitchen facilitites were to be shared with three sports teams which wasnt even big enough to barely house 1.

nice grounds but its feeling unloved and there is no presence of management to check to see if all is well. Poor performance

  • If you are wanting a beautiful stress-free wedding, please do not do it here!

My son and daughter-in-law fell in love with the gardens and scenery, unfortunately they should have read the reviews before booking this establishment.

The Owners are rude, disorganised and argumentative, they accept no responsibility for their mistakes and will lay all the blame on you, they double book accommodation, demand payment in full prior for the event which, I understand for catering but for a bar tab you haven’t used yet? When we inquired on the balance of the bar tab they can’t tell you because they are too busy talking about you openly in front of anyone that will listen and yes, they were not nice comments which is disgraceful customer service. They are very good at double charging and adding on additional extras you know nothing about - then blame you for not receiving there emails that were never sent.

In regards to the accommodation, I would not book my dog into this place, it is dirty, rundown and smells like mould and if you are really lucky has the added extra of either mice poo in your bedding or damp wet sheets.

A week on from the wedding we are still waiting for an itemised account of what was spent on the bar and I don't believe we will ever receive one. Please do not waste your money on this place.
