Dromedary Hill (1664 m), in Lindis Conservation Area, makes a great day walk or half-day mountain-bike ride from the SH 8 car park near Dalrachney bridge. The views on the ascent are spectacular, with Mt Barth in Ahuriri Conservation Park clearly visible.

You can continue your journey along the Pavilion Peak tramping track, which ends at the Birchwood Road car park. See a description on the Lindis area tramps page.

Getting there

Lindis Conservation Area is in North Otago, north of the Lindis Pass. Access to this track is via a carpark at the Dalrachney road bridge, on state highway 8.
