The service to waiheke island is a disgrace for local and tourist travelers.
Twice in last 2 weeks the queue has been over an hour and 10min waiting before a chance to get on a ferry and then wait until it is filled to capacity. When making concerned feedback to staff, only silly excuses were given

Even having resident won’t allow you to board the ferry.this morning I was about to catch 9 am ferry .I got to ferry station by 8:47 the lady at the resident lane asked me use the normal lane because there
were like fifteen passengers so I asked is everyone getting onboard she said yes, then she said you don’t need you use this resident lane as there are few passengers in normal lane .
Then they didn’t allow me to hop on .all the fourteen passengers in front of me boarded and ferry got full .I travel 6 days a week for work.that is the third time in this month this happened .
Very disappointed ☹️

Terrible service.
Ferry cancelled again what’s new? It is much better to drive into or out of town save yourself the trouble. Ferry’s cancel last minute and most of the time not even an announcement on their website or app. DO NOT FERRY. You will be happier.

Fuller's does not sell fares with an hour in the tickets to Rangitoto.
So even though you "booked" you could be left behind.

Dreadful.
Simply don’t have enough boats to cope with the demand. If you want to travel then arrive 30+ minutes to stand a chance of getting on. And if you miss it be prepared to wait an hour. Worst transport operator I have ever encountered. People on the quayside don’t seem to care about customer experience.

Clean and inviting ferry facilities, wonderful one day tour with enough time to get around the island on the tracks you choose.

The worst customer experience I have EVER had!
I called twice to confirm with Fullers that we could trave with a small dog on the Rotoroa Island to Auckland ferry service (as we were not actually visiting the island, coming directly from a boat). They confirmed this was fine and we went ahead and booked a ferry ticket. I called again to double check and they assured me this was possible... We checked as its a pest free island, but Fullers reassured us that this was okay. We got ashore for our ferry and the Rotoroa Island and the conservation staff said this was definitely not permitted as its a pest free island. We have now called Fullers 5+ times to request a refund, including emails and promised that senior staff will be calling us and we've heard nothing... we then had to find a way to Waiheke island and get the sealink ferry home. We still haven't received a refund for our $180. Will never be using fullers again!!! Extremely dissappointing
