Hired a koro 4 berth freedom, campervan, through wendekreisen travel Ltd.
All i can say it was absolutely amazing! We called up at Auckland airport on arrival, got picked up within 15 minutes, and was taken to there depot, got shown our vehicle, did paperwork which was so painless, and so simple with such friendly staff, to answer all our questions. The van was spotless, not a mark on it, and came ready to explore nz with clean linen plates, cutlery etc, even had outdoor table and chairs.had a amazing trip in the van, and didn't have any problems, we had fridge on the whole time, and battery never went flat, as they had solar panels on roof of van. On return of our van, was met with friendly staff, they checked van, and returned us back to our accommodation near auckland airport. Will 100% use wendekreisen again, could not fault them for there excellent service, and friendly staff. They made our holiday so enjoyable

Friendly staff, uncomplicated ceckout and return process, absolutely transparent costs, only positive surprises!
There is actually someone reachable and reacting quickly when there is something wrong with the van. We'll book again at Wendekreisen! Why not 10? Van was not perfectly clean inside, but certainly acceptable since it was an older version.

My wife and I hired a campervan for 35 days from the Christchurch Branch.
This van was excellent in all ways. Better than 10 lts/100k fuel economy. No problems with vehicle or any equipment. Very efficient staff at pick up and dropoff. Will use again in 2024.

My wife and I booked a month-long rental with Wendekreisen, mainly based upon price.
It was a big mistake.
We rented a Koru 2T Walkthrough.
It's difficult to fit all the mediocre qualities of the rental unit in one review. Everything was subpar. No storage. No electronics of any kind (that actually worked). No toilet (there was a chemical toilet with exactly 2 inches of legroom in front of it). No shower (because the bathroom is the only storage space). The chinese-made TUV piece-of-junk was noisy, underpowered, and unpleasant to drive
There are many better alternatives. Avoid like the plague.

Highly Recommended.
We hired the Budget 4 for seven weeks. At seventy years of age the 2006 model didn't sound that old. We were a little surprised to see 623k on the clock (we added another 8k). With the high price of diesel we found the VW very economical The solar charging system allowed us to only plug in to power the first two days in Auckland, freedom camping the rest of the trip.We only had two issues to add to our adventure. At Greymouth we locked the keys in the motorhome (I blame Alma). An hour later the maintenance team had us on our way with the help of a local locksmith. At Dunedin we noticed a bearing noise in the gearbox. By the time we rolled into the Christchurch depot at 11:30am Sunday it sounded ready to collapse. Lisa was unfazed, she lent us a nice little hybrid station wagon and asked that we arrange accommodation for the night. Amazingly, 12 noon next day, we were driving out of their yard with a new gearbox and clutch fitted. From the time we were picked up from the airport until the time we were returned we had first class service. Thank you to the team at Wendekreisen!

This is our second hire with Wendekreisen as we won’t use anyone else.
They are fantastic.
So helpful, flexible, professional and reliable. We hire the Koru 2 star walkthrough usually for a month and find it easy to drive, super economical and fully functional for the two of us. The diesel heater is excellent and the solar panel easily met all our power requirements. There’s enough storage for clothes, food and cycling gear. We carry two bikes on our own cycle rack on the rear tow bar which I lift off when we open the back doors. Obviously, it would be nice to have more space but at this stage, we think this campervan is the most ideal solution for us and that the benefits of a larger vehicle are negated due to increased costs and less manoeuvrability.
It’s important to plan your trip so you know where the Freedom sites are as well as the dump stations. The Koru 2st walkthrough we find gives good self containment for 3 days or slightly more if you don’t use a lot of on board water or the van’s wc too much. It’s wise to keep topped up just to be sure.
Thank you Sven and Arty for all you great kindness and support.

We have booked a campervan traveler in March for 21 days and due to COVID all flight was cancel.
For us it was impossible to visit New Zealand. When we ask for a refund Wenderkreisen reject any request and when we asked for the general sales conditions. they refund only 70% of the total amount. It is unbelievable and unacceptable in such word wide extreme situation that wenderkreisen refused to refund our money, all other company refund 100%.
Okay Wenderkreisen you stall us 800$ and for this I will give you the worst note I can give for this...
Take care of Wenderkreisen, they ask to pay everything in advance and when a problem occur you will never see you money anymore.

Our experience of hiring a campervan from Wendekreisen was excellent.
Starting with their online quote system, which is comprehensive and informative, right through to the vehicle collection and the van itself, we could not fault their service. Our van was only about a year old, was reliable, and had clever, well designed systems and cabinetry to make the holiday experience smooth and comfortable. The cleaning of the van was exemplary - not a speck of dirt from previous campers. Would only ever hire from this company in the future.
