  • Such a lovely small, and very thoughtful campground.

Only 12 sites and all tiered, so nice and private. The best part is the fire pit in the middle, which was all set up with fire wood and ready to go. Also had lovely cushions and lighting. Whoever runs it is very thoughtful with the small details. The facilities are top notch too. The only draw back was the road noise as it’s right by SH1, but this doesn’t detract from a lovely site. Would absolutely stay here again on the way through. Highly recommend

  • The best campground we have stayed in to date.

Excellent, well maintained and stocked facilities. Very modern showers, high pressure, free with hot water. Coin operated washing machine and dryer available. The best part is it's dog friendly with dogs being able to wander near your campsite and get as many pets as they can rustle up.

To the hosts. Steve and Jenny, you have created a truly magical spot on what used to be a horse grazing paddock. Thank you. We will be back again.

  • Steve and Jenny have done an OUTSTANDING job creating their motor home park.

It is a small but extremely welcoming and comfortable place about 15 minutes outside of Taupo, New Zealand! We loved the chance to escape the commercialism of the tourist areas. The facilities are renovated with beautiful finishes and always clean. You can walk up the goat track immediately behind the car park for an incredible 360 degree view. The goats are friendly. And, Steve and Jenny light the fire pit each night inviting all guests to enjoy and relax after a day of sightseeing. You can sit on the benches surrounding the fire pit during the day as well as a huge tarp protects you from the sun. They have truly thought of everything. Only a 10-minute drive to the geothermal park and cave and a 7 minute drive to the thermal spa and Huka Falls. Gorgeous!

  • Stayed at Coddiwomple Motor Home in Taupo—so good we stayed two nights.

Clean showers with impressively strong water pressure, working washing machine, and Steve always reachable (he even made a fire one evening). Tiny hill to climb, glorious sunset, and a touch of highway nearby for that gentle hum of life passing by. Perfect little escape with everything you need.
