Small green grass parking. You have to pay at the bar when you arrive.

Nice view of the coast, and 5min from the whale watching tour.

20$ for a vehicule (+5$ for power)

2 clean flush toilets.

5$/5min shower

No kitchen

Nice Hotel/restaurant just few meter away.

Great alternativ, if the free camps are fulls

A grassy island of hospitality right on the shore of the bay.
Sites available with or without mains power and water. Bar and restaurant renovated in 2025. All this and a tap room next door for $20/night!

Really nice spot, loads if powered sites and there's modern and clean flush toilets, laundry and a shower $5.
Even better if you can get a spot overlooking the sea!

Dont know if it was a one-off for our stay, but there's a permanentish resident (maybe works at the bar) and they had a super loud party all night by the entrance.

Kaikoura doesnt really welcome freedom camping like other areas (need a fixed toilet and they are hot on checking) so options are limited. Best of a bad bunch... would have been a 10/10 if not for the party

Der Platz ist direkt am Meer gelegen.

Es hat saubere Toiletten dusche und eine Waschmaschine kein trockner aber Leinen.

Man zahlt 20 nzd pro Fahrzeug.
