Perfect little van, great service, lovely people, highly recommend.
Beautiful fit out and very cleverly done so everything fits in a van which is small enought to drive easily and park anywhere.

We hired and called Van-thony Hopkins our home away from home for 10 days and we weren’t disappointed to say the least.
The attention to detail in the van was exceptional, it had everything we needed and more. The customer service from the crew was just as exceptional. From Brent’s communication to his sons picking up from our accommodation and dropping us off at the airport. It really is a family run business which makes it more personal and enhances the experience. Thank you to all involved for making our trip a comfortable and enjoyable one. You guys are legends and if it isn’t already obvious. We highly recommend Matt and Dan’s for your next South Island experience !

Great compact van ideal for 2.
Well equipped with essentials and comfy bed. Spent a week travelling around the South Island and would book again - was sad to say goodbye. All details as advertised lovely conversion and great views from the bed! Thanks

10 day trip around the South Island with Matt & Dans Campervans was absolutely incredible.
The van was designed to the most detailed level, comes with all you can think about needing on such a trip!
Brent picked us up from the airport and showed us around, gave us all the tips we needed to get going and was always available during the trip if we needed anything.
these guys are looking to be the best and are always looking for ways to upgrade every little detail - and we totally felt that excellence in the van.
If you are looking for a spacious (but not a huge bus...) and affordable van but you dont want to feel your camping out - M&Ds is the Campervan for you!
pretty much like a boutique hotel on wheels.

Amazing experience travelling around the South Island in Matt and dans campervans.
We really felt we were in a home away from home, with little touches that just made all the difference. We were picked up and dropped off to our accomodation by Brent which made this an easy and smooth process. Would highly recommend, and would definitely rent again. Thank you!

My sister and I had a great experience with Matt and Dan's Campervans.
They are a family run company and we really felt looked after. They took us from our accommodation to pick up our van, then they dropped us back off at our accommodation once we had dropped off the van. This was so helpful. I also left my laptop in the van and they kindly drove to my accommodation to give it back to me even after I offered to come and get it my self. It was so nice of them to do that.
They van it self was great. We had so many comments along our trip about the van, people were quite impressed with the design and how it differed from the typical van. We were very comfortable and enjoyed cooking out the back of the van. Would recommend Matt and Dan's Campervans to anyone. :)

From the very first contact with Matt & Dans Campers we were looked after very well.
Nothing was too much trouble. Picked up from our hotel and then dropped of again at the end. Matt’s dad Brent was a lovey guy who time to answer our questions and give us advise. Service 110%
The vans are really well thought out, the workmanship is beautiful. It obviously a labour or love for the guys. Also they are very clean and everything you need has been thought about and provided. 100% recommended.

Nothing was too much of a hassle for the family and they happily picked us up and dropped us off after our trip.
The van itself was excellent and a breeze to live in! Being 6 months pregnant I was a bit concerned about sleeping on a van mattress but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and had no issues with the bed! The table inside was super handy for locations riddled with sandflies in the evenings but generally we just left the bed set up and used the camp table and chairs provided to sit outside in the beautiful weather! The vehicle was easy to drive and especially helpful that it fitted into a standard car park, which made parking a lot easier.
We would definitely recommend for anyone looking to van around NZ!!

My partner and I traveled to the south island of New Zealand for the first time in Dec 2019 and we rented out Matt & Dan's Campervans for 10 days.
We loved the experience, the van was very well set out (very aesthetically pleasing), had nice little touches and all the amenities we needed. The bed was surprisingly comfy and it was very cosy/spacious. Brent was very easy to communicate with throughout the whole trip and took time to check up on how we were doing as the weather was very unpredictable during our holiday. Definitely recommend Matt & Dan's Campervans if holidaying in the south island is what you're looking for!!

My wife and I rented Matt and Dan's Campervan #3 for our honeymoon and it was an awesome experience!
Communication with their team was great, and pickup and drop off without any issues helped make everything smooth from the beginning to end! No mechanical issues and the van ran smoothly. Transitioning from day, storage, making food, and sleeping at night, the van was much more comfortable than we imagined when sleeping (our first van experience). They also gave us amazing recommendations and reviewed our itinerary far in advance which helped us solidify our trip.

We had the best three weeks around new Zeeland South Island with Matt and Dans campervan #6.
We couldn’t have wished for better service, communication and pickup/drop off. The van functioned perfect in every aspect, with great comfort. This beautiful Van was by far the sexiest campervan rolling on the South island and without doubt the most exciting and wonderful way to experience the place.
We would recommend Matt and Dans campervans to everyone planning a similar trip.

Matt and Dan have thought of everything!
With these custom outfitted vans, you will ride in style and ease. The smaller size of the van with the thoughtful build out allow you navigate easily without feeling cramped. The new model we used was fully contained, so we got access to some great camping. The fridge was the perfect size to keep our groceries and we ate well using the slickly designed camp stove that comes out the back of the van. We slept like babies on the HUGE bed and woke up to the chirping of birdcalls every day. When we come back to NZ - we'll be looking up Matt and Dan for sure!
