We were very happy with the compact, clean, reliable, and discreet camper van while we drove around the South Island.
It wasn't the newest vehicle around so we missed some modern conveniences, such as a back-up camera or bluetooth connection, but it made us drive around with more focus. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were really helpful throughout the planning process. Once we got to the airport they greeted us promptly and gave us a thorough overview of the vehicle and even gave us some helpful local tips about what to see and how to maximize our experience. We had a great time with this camper van and wish we had a similar vehicle back home!

The owners were really personable, responsive, and kind - a delight to work with.
We had a 2/3 berth camper with only 2 passengers, and it was just the right size and amount of space for us. The camper vehicle is a sweet spot between the larger more commercial vehicles, and the "sleep in the back of a minivan" size. We felt very comfortable navigating windy roads and parking lots in a way we might not have in a larger vehicle. It had all the necessities for comfortable free camping and a good layout to maximize the space. We often used showers at campsites or holiday parks, so we only used the vehicle shower a handful of times. The shower is a bit small, so we usually preferred the facilities when available. But we loved the freedom that the camper amenities gave us to camp anywhere. It's also far more subtle than most of the other commercial offerings and we got many compliments from locals about how compact and noncommercial our vehicle was. If you need a lot of space in your camper, this might not be the best choice, but we don't mind close quarters and felt very comfortable lounging, cooking, eating, and sleeping inside the vehicle...which we especially appreciated on rainy days.

Our first campervan experience for two weeks with Jupitercampervan is awesome!
This full self contained van has got everything we needed for, gas stove,utensils, cooking equipments, washing basin, beds for 4-5 person,fridge,toilet and shower. The interior is clean and well maintained. Rhys and Caty were very helpful ,patient and responsive, they attended to all our questions (we had lots of questions for them) and needs swiftly. Rhys also extended his helping hand to our last minute request on solar panel and headed to hardware store for a purchase as they ran out of it.
The campervan is cozy and keep us warm even in the cold weathers, and there is heater provided however we can only use it at the powered site. The vehicle is well maintained and fuel efficient. We will definitely recommend jupitercampervan for someone who is looking for full self contained campervan With toilet and shower facilities.

Had such a fantastic time renting a camper off Jupiter , it was warm , cosy and had everything we needed for a week long get away , super easy to drive and felt very safe on the road , would absolutely

Rhys and Caty were friendly and responsive in communication prior to our booking.
Our pick up/drop off point was Christchurch and they were incredibly flexible around timing (the benefits of travelling in the shoulder season). It was super convenient to be met with the van and then met again at drop off. We were campervan newbies, and Rhys gave us a detailed run down on the camper operation. He replied quickly to our texted questions along the way when we forgot some info. There was a handy page of notes in the van as a reminder too. Our camper was an older van, and that showed in a couple of things, but it was well kitted out with almost everything we needed (we were supplied with reusable shopping bags (yay!) but had to buy dish cloths and toilet blue). The linen provided was good and we took advantage of the extra GPS and tables and chairs which was on offer. We had a beautiful time motoring around the South Island, making it up as we went along. At drop off, Caty was interested in our journey and we enjoyed the chance to share about where we had been. Jupiter Campers aren't high end, but our campervan was everything we needed for affordable, comfortable, relaxed touring. We found the company easy to deal with, they were friendly and really listened and we recommend them.

They personally delivered our camper van to our location on Day 1. The camper van was very clean and ready to roll! They gave us a full tutorial on how to safely operate all items on the camper van. They touched base with us on the road to ensure that all needs were met. They are kind and respectful and treat customers with the care and attention needed for a great trip! Go with them and have fun!

Me and my boyfriend rented a camper van from Jupiter Campers to explore the South Island of New Zealand.
I don't think I have ever worked with such a responsive, efficient, and thoughtful company. The communication with Caty and Rhys was outstanding from the beginning. They responded to my many emails quickly and with detailed answers. The camper van was also fantastic. It was very clean and well maintained. We didn't have any issues over our 8 days of driving, and it quickly became our little vacation home. I can't recommend this company enough. I can't wait to use them again on our next trip to NZ.

Loved our Jupiter Camper!
The best way to get around NZ and get off the beaten track. The staff at Jupiter Campers were super helpful also, going out of their way to make sure we were safe and sound in the camper and helping us get on our way. Really appreciate their help and going that extra mile. 10/10 - Would definitely recommend Jupiter Campers to any keen adventurer!

Took a Jupiter camper from Christchurch to stay around Cromwell and Alexandra in April.
This compact 6-berth was well specked and raised many eyebrows by fellow campers who though our duckling to be a real swan on close inspection.
Excellent service, excellent product, great time.
