Flat sites on a gentle hillock

West Bay Campsite is a sweet a little rabbit warren of campsites in the trees.
Probably more suited to Campervans. (Larger Motorhomes are better down the road at Buller Campsite).
Fantastic spot if you're looking for own private little area.
Excellent facilities.
As with all St Arnaud locations, keep your sandfly repellent handy.
There's a few walks right next door. The Peninsular Lake walk to Kerr Bay is super close and a good one for all ages. The intensive predator control over the last 20+ years is really making a difference to the birdlife around here.
For more of a challenge, you can hike up the mountains on the south side of the lake with banger views.
Note - Only small campers should tackle the drive all the way to Mt Robert Carpark. Larger campers can drive a little way and park next to the Buller river bridge or a little further until just after the Lakeside track start on your left. You'll see a carpark just up the way, on the right side of the road. Don't attempt any further than that.
