For people who like jumps in to lakes, the rocks just before Bulli Point along SH1 between Turangi and Taupo are the one. When heading north, it’s the first of the three 25km corners you get to. Part as close to the side of the road as possible and be careful as there is lots of traffic including massive trucks. Walk just through the bush and you will get to some good big rocks.
