A real top spot, nicely located on a parking between the beach and a lagoon at the opposite side.
Room for 9 campervans, self contained. Clean toilets nearby. Nice beach for a long walk or a swim in the surf.

Mangahuia Campsite
Nice spot with clean toilets, close to Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
We arrived quite early and no camper around. Quiet and not crowded this time of the year.

Ohinepane Campsite
Great campsite from location point of view: quiet area near the river, plenty of space, toilets and water available.
Yet toilets are really dirty and without paper. Doors are kept open by stones to control the smell. This would be a marvellous spot if somewhat better maintained.
