Catlins River Walk
We were repeatedly told to do this walk and afterwards we were not sure why.
The river walk section was pleasant but not remarkable. The return section was a wide logging road with no real views until the summit which still was not very impressive.

Fox River Caves and Ballroom Overhang walk
One of our favourite walks in New Zealand.
Lots of river crossings (thigh-deep), well marked and the overhang is stunning!

Gear was comfortable and clean, we were showed the basics of climbing, the guide did a good job of picking appropriate routes for our skill level.
Would definitely recommend!

Lake Marian Track
Steep hike up to the beautiful alpine lake.
The rapids/waterfall in the middle of the journey is astounding!! Only issue was that some areas of the trail were flooded, so we had to do some 'creative' stream crossings.

Routeburn Track
Hiked from the east end of the track to Harris Saddle and back.
Track is very well maintained and the scenery is AMAZING. Did not stay in any of the huts, but they looked clean and cosy.
